your projects
Mycorrhized plants are the technical foundation for truffle cultivation and represent a decisive element for the productivity of a truffle bed. This is why we take meticulous care of the quality of our plants and use only the most advanced technologies at every stage of production.
Together with dedicated technical consultancy for selection and agronomic management, we pay particular attention to balancing the variety of selected plants to create the ideal mix for improving the biodiversity of the plantation and, consequently, increasing the quality of a greater number of truffles.
Investing in selected plants means increasing the chances of obtaining a stable production of valuable truffles.
What are mycorrhized plants?
Mycorrhized plants refer to symbiotic forest plants, obtained from certified seeds or cuttings, joined in symbiosis with spores of cultivable edible truffles.
Production always starts from plants grown in sterile soil, free of fungi or other contaminants. During the growth process, these plants are inoculated with various types of truffles, thus obtaining a specimen that features the characteristic mycorrhizae of the desired truffle on its root tips.
Rotorscio37 specializes in the production of “semi-adult” plants whose production process lasts about 2 years. This type of truffle-producing plant has two main advantages: early production and maximum reduction of the risk of mortality after planting.
THE MYCORRHIZATION PROCESS: innovation and research
Our mycorrhized plant production process follows a consolidated protocol and includes:
- selection of certified genetic material;
- sterile and controlled environment to avoid unwanted contamination;
- inoculation with truffle spores of cultivable species;
- monitoring and effectiveness testing of mycorrhization;
- issuance of certifications and batch traceability.
The technical approach and continuous research increase the probability of success in the field, reducing risks for those who decide to invest in truffle farming.
Our work is continuous and every year we produce new pilot plants, which only after passing rigorous field tests, are added to our catalog.
For this reason, we can offer a more complete variety of plants, providing greater biodiversity.
“Truffle Garden” Project
Technical Innovation & a touch of Style for more productive Truffle Beds.
In parallel with research and experimentation activities, for several years we have been carrying out our “Truffle Garden” project, dedicated to the creation of productive truffle beds with a high-quality aesthetic impact.
The tested layout involves planting a wide assortment of companion plants, capable of encouraging truffle bed production while simultaneously improving the environment. In our catalog, you will find various species with a pleasant appearance, from melliferous plants to small fruit or aromatic ones. So to speak, production “with style” and a pleasant place to explore…
